Text: Genesis 27:41–45; 28:10–22
Introduction
Jacob’s life reveals a pattern of manipulation.
He constantly looked for ways to secure his future through scheming, even at the expense of his brother, Esau.
But the message for us today is clear:
A New Mindset
↗️ You don’t need to be crooked to be blessed.
↗️ You don’t need to be manipulative.
↗️ You don’t need to defraud others.
↗️ You don’t need to take advantage of anyone.
Why?
Because you are not trying to get the blessing,
you are already blessed.
Striving ends when the revelation of your inheritance begins.
The Story of Jacob
Jacob’s story did not start with deception, it started with a divine decree.
Before he was born, God had already spoken concerning him.
(Genesis 25:21–23)
Isaac prayed, Rebekah inquired of the Lord, and God declared that the elder would serve the younger.
This means the blessing was already on Jacob.
He did not need to steal what was already his.
God had already called him a nation.
The Same Truth for Us
📝 You Are Already Blessed
God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
(Ephesians 1:3)
📝 You Carry the Blessing of Abraham
(Galatians 3:7–9)
When God blessed Abraham, He had you in mind.
📝 You Are a Blessing
“I will bless you… and you shall be a blessing.”
(Genesis 12:2–3)
Your presence brings increase.
You carry divine advantage wherever you go.
From Survival to Inheritance
God is shifting our mindset.
2026 is not a year of survival,
it is a year of inheritance.
Many people live limited by income, focused only on getting by.
But God calls you to live from a higher source.
(Philippians 4:19, Luke 12:21)
Living Out the Blessing
If you are already blessed, how do you walk in it practically?
🎯 Honor God with What You Have
Generosity breaks the hold of greed.
It aligns your heart with God as your source.
🎯 Walk in Obedience
“The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked,
but He blesses the home of the just.”
(Proverbs 3:33)
The blessing is drawn to a life of obedience.
🎯 Put God First
Bringing the tithe is not about God needing money,
it is about honoring Him as your source.
(Malachi 3:10)
It breaks the survival mindset and builds trust in God’s provision.
Final Charge
You don’t have to live in stress, fear, or manipulation.
Rest in the finished work of Christ.
You are blessed.
You are favored.
Step fully into the inheritance God has prepared for you.
Closing
