Testimonies are proof of something. As God’s children, they are proof of God’s goodness to us.
Why People Don’t Testify
– They think the miracle is not worth testifying about. Every miracle is worth testifying about.
– They are not even thinking about it.
– They are too shy or self-conscious to share it.
– They forget easily they need to and sometimes need to be reminded by other people’s testimonies. Psalm 103:2
– They think it will expose them to attack or some negative forces. Revelation 12:11.
Why God Wants Us to Testify
1. He wants us to testify when He blesses us. Luke 17:11-19.
2. When we testify, we announce to the world the transforming power of Jesus. John 4:29-39.
3. Because our lives are a display of the works of God. John 9:3.
4. God commands us to not forget all His benefits (Psalm 103:1-5).
5. Our testimonies inspire and encourage others. Psalm 34:2-5.
6. God does not want us to forget that He is the giver of all things. Deuteronomy 8:18.
